Messages for Valentine’s Day

Pixabay.comWCC will mark Valentine’s Day on both a light and somber note with an event Thursday, Feb. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library.

Featured will be “A Place at the Table” display remembering those who have lost their lives to domestic violence.

Visitors will be invited to walk through the display, then compose a brief Valentine’s message to be read aloud by WCC’s own DJ and counselor “Gusty Gus” Cobb-Adams.

The message to friends, family, WCC students, faculty or staff and significant others can be accompanied by a song request.

Spoiler alert: Rumor has it that “Gusty Gus” may be dressed as Cupid, complete with a bow and arrow and a pair of boxers decorated with hearts, so consider yourself warned!
