Creativity will be celebrated on April 30 with the launch of the 2020 issue of Pueo: Passages. The event takes place at 5:30 p.m. in the ‘Uala Leaf Café.
Pueo is WCC’s literary and art journal and showcases a collection of poetry, prose and art from WCC students, faculty, staff and Writer’s Retreat contributors.
The launch will feature music, entertainment and food, as well as the authors and artists.
As the recipient of “excellence” awards from the American Scholastic Press Association, Pueo is committed to celebrating, encouraging, inspiring and publishing student creativity.
Initially published as Rainbird in May 1980, Pueo was rebranded five years ago to honor our Hawaiian culture.
Pueo is designed, edited and produced by students enrolled in Creative Media 280 and English 280: Book Production.
All are welcome at the April 30 celebration.
