The Pueo wants you to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before and create what only you can create.
We ask you to create and submit your art, stories, poems, screenplays, comics — your proud works to the SUPERGALACTIC edition of the Pueo journal so that it might be published for the world to see.
Why choose this goal? Because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of your energies and skills and provide you with a tangible achievement: your work in print.
Also, you could flaunt to everyone you know that you’re a published artist and/or writer. Think about how dope that would look on your résumé; people will be like “wow, this person is mad talented.” And you can totally be like “yeah, I know.” Be immodest. You earned it.
Have work that doesn’t match this article’s overt and tasteless zeal for the SUPERGALACTIC? Not overly confident? Don’t be discouraged! The Pueo is accepting submissions for works of art and writing of all sorts! Though this year’s theme is SUPERGALACTIC, the Pueo recognizes all great works; do not hesitate to submit!
But as one of WCC’s brilliant, talented and beautiful students, why not try your hand at making something SUPERGALACTIC? There are no wrong interpretations of the theme; create what you feel!
Submit your art and writing to the Pueo at the library, bookstore, Hale Mānaleo, or ‘Ākoakoa 236 for a chance to become legend. But hurry, the submission deadline is October 31!
Live long and prosper, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
