How do you feel about the #MeToo movement?

The #MeToo movement is a great way to get people, especially the younger generation, to feel like they can speak freely about their experiences. Sexual assault cases are now showing up because people feel safer about talking about them and can seek help. No matter how small you think you may be, your voice will be heard.

People all around the world experience sexual harassment and/or sexual assault. The #MeToo movement shows others that it is a big problem as well as helps victims not feel as singled out individually. This allows unity as a “team fighting for justice.” It is our right as human beings to stand together and fight against the many evils that we face in today’s world. #MeToo shows that you are not alone if you are a victim as well as raises awareness. Two thumbs up from me for the #MeToo movement. And #KeepFighting to all the victims.

I believe the #MeToo movement is a good thing. It helps identify the problem with sexual assault and the magnitude of how many people are going through this experience. It helps to identify how big of an issue this is causing and that we must take action on ways to solve and prevent this. This movement is a good way to get the word out there and inform people about the problem, but I think the media should be used to further inform the world. The media is everywhere and everyone uses it. So if we could fully utilize it and get everyone’s attention on this matter, then we can reduce this threat and prevent people from having this experience.

I feel the awareness #MeToo brings is phenomenal. It’s a simple statement that has so much power, and I’m glad that these women will no longer be silenced. These victims have suffered in silence long enough and the strength that comes when the world bans together will allow anyone who feels they are in a dark place, alone or scared, to speak up and be heard. To seek light in their life again and allow those victimized to heal with the power of the world behind them.

I think #MeToo is so much more than a hashtag. It is an incredible movement that helped those who have been abused speak up and find closure about the traumatic events that happened to them.

#MeToo reached 85 countries with 1.7M tweets. A lot of people, celebrities, and those alike have spoken up with support and their own stories. Because of this, those abusers are now getting what they deserve. Part of fixing a problem is acknowledging that there is one to begin with, and I am so glad we are finally trying to fix this long-overlooked one.

The #MeToo movement is something that I feel is important. When it comes to these controversial topics, I believe it’s a good thing for many to come together as a whole to express their emotions. It gives us a sense of unity, something that our country lacks nowadays. It takes a lot of courage to make such a stand, and I truly admire these people who speak out.
